The Woman Behind the Brand

Jillian Schaeffer is a results-driven esthetician & certified acne expert whose approach to skincare has always been rooted in science. With a background in biomedical sciences and years spent behind the treatment table, she built a reputation for cutting through the noise — delivering real results without overcomplicating the process.

VABARE is the natural extension of that philosophy. Frustrated by the lack of products that could keep up with her clients' real lives, Jillian set out to create something better — skincare formulated with the same clinical precision she holds in her treatment room, designed to go wherever life takes you.

The Journey to VABARE

2011

The Foundation

Jillian began her academic journey at the University of Toledo, earning her Master's in Biomedical Sciences with a concentration in Transplantation Sciences — laying the scientific foundation that would shape her approach to skincare.

2018

A New Chapter

Jillian enrolled in esthetics school in November 2018, completing Ohio's rigorous 600 credit hour program and passing her state board exam, officially beginning her career behind the treatment table!

2019

Mastering Her Craft

Jillian became a certified Acne Expert with Face Reality Skincare, helping clients achieve clear skin while establishing herself as a trusted voice in the industry. Her expertise led to her becoming one of the first Face Reality Ambassadors in 2022, collaborating on marketing campaigns and product testing nationwide, a partnership that continues today!

2022

Her Own Space

In October 2022, Jillian opened Aesthete Skin Studio with a mission to deliver a refined, holistic approach to skincare combining clinical expertise with personalized care.

2022-2024

In The Press

Jillian's expertise earned her national recognition, including a cover feature in Skin Inc Magazine, a contribution to Teen Vogue, and a feature in Dermascope Magazine — cementing her reputation as a leading voice in professional skincare.

An Idea Takes Shape

Born from years of expertise, clinical obsession, and a deep understanding of what busy women actually need, Jillian began building VABARE Skin, redefining what skincare for real life looks like.
